Apple cider and Pumpkins

I worked outside all day yesterday on two custom orders.  I noticed the leaves were falling... A little... Usually we are already back in Hawaii by this time... This year we might get to see a little fall...

I noticed apple cider already on the store shelf... Reminds me of when our children were little and we used to go up to Jackson's Orchard... Pumpkins and Cider...

Old Cars and the Beach

This past week Sam and I have been here in VA. Beach getting things ready for a new tenant. Just some little things like major tree and limbs cut down, and putting in a new bathroom.  One thing you never think about when embarking on these major things is how to get rid if all the refuse... 

Also while I was here in VA. Beach we had to find a used car to use for the next month and a half, give or take two weeks. (Sam always says when are we headed back to Hawaii, my response is 2 weeks)

So we found this cute little used, vintage Jeep Cherokee, Super Sport,with a cute little superman emblem on the door...

It has air, sometimes...and some thing Sam told me are super packs... to make the car sound bad... The young man we bought it from told us he had to quit working on it, settle down and buy a ring for his girl friend....

Oh yah had to go down to the ocean front to pick up my daughters car, so we can drop of our Superman Jeep to be inspected....rolled the windows down headed down shore drive

And the noise from the super packs seem to disappear ... I guess it's the Beach...

OBX, Outer Banks, N.C.

Sam and I just got back from doing a two day art show on the Outer Banks.  This is our favorite show to do and we have been participating  in Under the Oaks art show for eleven years.  It's great seeing all the returning artists, some who have traveled a great distance. I think I beat all of them on distance...

Vacation time is over

Back to work on our art work, getting ready for up coming show!  I have missed my paint brush!

Perfect Day

Today was the perfect day, it may look all the same to everyone else but some days when the waves are very low, and the tide is out its the perfect day. Perfect days are far and few in between, but today was one of those perfect days!

Revenge Beach Wedding

A couple weeks ago we saw Fake Amanda marry Jack on the beach, she worn a Sea Glass Necklace. It was very similar to necklaces that I was making.
So I made one the exact colors, Fake Amanda wore, and did one in white for the traditional bride, and now one with green, and blue, aqua, and white.
I was almost sure fake Amanda was not dead, I guess somehow they can still bring her back at a later date, but I was dismayed that they had a body and it was identified. Anyway here's the new one, can be worn for your own beach wedding, or everyday wear in the city of your life...

Under the Sea

Today while searching, under the sea, I came upon a bracelet size strand of jade beads. They were half buried in the sand, soon to be lost for a very long time . Under the water they look like emeralds. Still I began to wonder about the owner, how far had they traveled. Probably just from the beach some body not realizing the surf is to strong to wear jewelry while swimming . But maybe just maybe they traveled from very far... To me...

Master glass Hunter

There really is a skill to finding the sea glass, I am getting much more skilled at it each trip. I met a couple from Florida this past week end, they told me they were finding these pieces on the beach, they didn't know what it was? I thought every one knew about sea glass, or on the east coast beach glass....

Coral, Red Coral..., & More Coral

Recently I came across some red coral from one of my favorite suppliers. The color is so beautiful. It is amazing to me how the coral is transformed from the ocean to pieces for jewelry. I find so much coral here in Hawaii on the beach tossed out to dry and bleach white, smoothed out as the sand and the waves continue to move it up on the shore.
